So this is it, The curdle that still brews and blisters heart and flesh Defying you moment to the next A smear too thick to swallow, too deep to wallow And here I am, Touching on a tender spot, lancing heat on what is not Un-denying each heartbeat to heartbeat A small stone, easy to cast, and hard to release And here you are, Tangled and snarling, gentle slaps that could be lethal Dying, for the last of harm to leave A simple angry wound, afraid to touch, lest it hurt again So this is it, The calling that keeps coming, wave upon wave Defying you, moment to moment A small stone, easy to cast and hard to release I close my eyes, Touching on a tender spot, warm baths you shudder Un-denying each heartbeat to heartbeat The sun, the stars, and all you have not known Copyright Kkh 3/27/03 |

 (smiles) Oh Kathleen, this is beautiful, sweet friend, this would make a wonderful song as I love the slight repetition at the beginning of some of the stanzas that would match so well with melody!
