Raindrops calm the restless waves and chided ocean towers Soothing showers sheet the beds of winsome lingered hours Not the silence of the snows, melodic in review As if to draw the senses in, to harmony on cue A spellbound kind of moment, supple in the feel and trill Symptomatic moist to balm the chapped by fever will Spoken in a common tone, a neutral wish to grow As if the seedlings everywhere can hear and so too know What inner rains that might suggest a somber deluge flood Will soon succumb within the drum of timed beats in the blood But not to wane the rivers drain and fill but to the tears As if preview of seasons due, announced as April nears Copyright Kkh 3/24/03 |
