Stairways Up

Lost Stairways Up
to the left and down
each losing direction moved
trapped out
an obtuse maze

Up Stairways Lost
down again and back around
no way out will make it better
trapped in
tangled dangled emotions

Stairways Lost Up
down any way but back
trying trying maybe wait
trapped outward in
time ticking time

Stairways Up Lost
right is down and only left
no voices heard crying love or fate
inward trapped out
solid shells stone

Up Lost Stairways
left is right but down again
breakaway free confuséd glee
inside trap
a winning loser

Lost Up Stairways
all points down fall out
climbing lower high-diving hell
together trapped
the game of love forlorn
