"LOOK"
he called
and motioned me
one arm waving
face intent
in a squat
above a plot
of discovered universe...
I looked to eyes
for some direct
distracted by
a crystalline
bead of his intensity
hanging on by one eyebrow...
"Are you LISTENING?"
he frowned--
and-my-grace-
oh-then, he smiled.
"Are you listening--
Wild Child?"

His laughter patterned on my past
just the way his fingers are,
impatiently,
upon my knee
driving miles,
to make a point...

"Look." He said with patience now.
"SEE, as if you were a child..."

I smiled at him in understand.
"Do you like butter?"
Then he picked
the bloom budding,
from its stem,
threatening me--
with the truth...

Then we wrestled clover fields.

I think the clover won.

No...I won...in getting to read this delightful vignette of you.

The Sun The Moon The Stars The Sky
none of these would my love deny.
For of all the true found in the blue
its twice as much that I love you.

I would like to echo Raph's remarks! But I actually believe that you are more of a Salvadore Delilah!

Thank you all...

This one was not one of my "story" poems, but more of an attempt to capture a feeling--
I've got some very special people in my life and I am one lucky lady.
