Why must one get more than the other? Why does one get finer things than the other? Why can't they just share? Why can't they just get along? One says, "I want grandmothers engagement ring." The other says, "I want it to replace my engagement ring." Then they first one pouts Because the other always gets the finer things And for once she would like this one thing Then came the issue of grandmothers Wedding ring And then the fight starts all Over again It gets to the point Where both siblings just Throw up their hands And say, "To heck with it." I don't want nothing at all Sibling Rivalry Cold hands means a warm heart |

Ahhhh yes... sibling rivalry! It was the topic today at my friend's office LOL. Having two sisters I am so familiar with it! But like your poem says... I would rather have nothing at all than to fight over my grandmother's things. I feel the frustration in your write ![]() the only man worth your tears will never make you cry |

I only have a brother and I'm almost six years older, so we didn't ever fight over things like that. I just didn't like for him to want to tag along with me everywhere I wanted to go. BTW, what happends to whatever you're squabbling over when both say they just don't want it? Just wondering. |

I think sibling rivalry is something you never outgrow. Great poem. |
