Cold touch which binds the Earth with frost relax your bitter grip. A breath of spring today was felt to stir across the land. Released from your relentless grasp this harbinger arose, encouraging our thoughts to turn from winters' icy throes. A subtle shift of current brings a welcome respit, felt. No tears shall be commingled with your passing in the melt, of rites too long in stasis in your alibaster heart. An oasis to your desert, whispered of as course we chart. Beyond where you have held us, soon again, our ways will part, though as yet it does elude us, it's faint scent is still a start. [This message has been edited by Dr.Moose1 (03-18-2003 06:50 PM).] |

I loved your poem! It was fresh and snappy and full of life! Yeppers! Spring is in the air--I can smell it! Warm springtime hugs, EA |

Earth Angel, Thanks. It sure has been a long, hard winter for us. Almost sixty here today, but rain and snow forecast for the weekend. If things hold true we can expect another 17 inches of snow yet this month or so. Doc Alicethruglass, Thanks for replying. We've still 30" on the level, but it is settling.
