For the first time I noticed the saddness in your eyes, the sparkle isn't there. Your voice is low and the words are drawn out with painful pauses. Your head is always bowed down as if your ashamed of the life you now live. You walk with slow staggering steps, just wandering with no direction and no destination. You constantly look back over your shoulder looking for answers that aren't there. But you continue to look down instead of ahead. The future is scary, the future is dark, there are no answers for the why's and what if's. Life's CD is skipping,it's the same nightmare screaming inside your head over and over and over again. I hope someday you will have the strength to pick your head up and the courage to look ahead. There are rainbows out there, you just have to work to find yours. |
