In sweet memory of my friend Lyra, a Chipmunk lady You were a Chipmunk......but a Lady Who left me with memories so sweet How can I ever tell you dearest Lyra What it meant when finally we did meet Your strenght has always amazed me As did your positive, optimistic style When I think back and remember you First thing pops up is your bright smile A smile so warm, so full compassion Your twinkling eyes that could see through Thank you for coming down to Tampa And bringing David, your love so true I like to think you're up in sunshine Then even here you'll warm my heart A golden treasure walked into my life Of wich for ever you will be part You may rest in peace my friend... Like scattered leaves...my words will flow [This message has been edited by Titia Geertman (03-18-2003 08:20 PM).] |

...I'm crying right now. I had no idea that our beloved Lyra was now with us only in spirit. She had suffered so much, but she was a real trooper. Popping in to read our poems and make replies from her bed, she was a true blue Pipster until the end. I used to look forward to reading her wonderful poetry and her thoughtful and sweet replies. She was a beautiful, creative and caring human being. Titia, this was lovely. Warm hugs to you. xo Lyra, if you can hear me now (and I know you can), we really loved you---and always will...God bless you! Fly free among your fellow angels... Love, Linda |

How softly this angel has left one plane, to take her rightful station in another. Somehow that would delight her. Lyra keeps well each and every best, and most of all of us. I so appreciate your poem, and receiving this sad news this way. It took but a heartbeat to love her. ThisDiamond |

One of the most wonderful moments of my time in Passions was learning and reading of the poets' meet in Florida...how everyone that could, came together...how stories and poetry was shared, how bonds were forged, how memories were made...and how real relationships can become, even if they begin on the Internet...it established my belief that good places, like Passions, exists - and poet people, like Lyra...are real... bless you Titia...thank you for sharing this. |

Titia, Lucky you. I spoke with her but never saw her. A lovely tribute to a lovely lady. Peace. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Titia, I didn't know about it until I saw your poem this afternoon. Then I couldn't reply. Now, I'd like to tell you that those are memories I'll treasure too. How bright she was, so quick and alive and positive. I hope her family knows how much sympathy they have. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Titia, I couldn't reply to your poem yesterday, but I want to thank you for sharing your pictures and kind words of when you met our sweet little Chippymunk. When I first came here, it seemed that whenever I would get in my moods of discouragement, dear Lyra would always pop in with an encouraing word for me. She could feel the hurt in others, and was always there with a helpful hand and smile. I always looked for her when I came into Passions. Now I will look for her in the Heavens. Rest In Peace, Dear Lyra I love you and miss you, Ethel |
