I open my eyes to see that the only guilty man in the mirror is me I have committed a crime against others for I am a selfish person who chooses himself first This I was taught by my father but it is not his sin for him to have to carry but mine for I picked this to be part of my personality So as I stare deep into my soul I notice a change in the reflection before me A simple ray of light is shining through the window a rainbow showing a variety of colors twinkling in my eyes full, bright, and alive Then this is when I realize that I am not a fixed picture, a still shot hung on a wall forever frozen in my ways but a living piece of work that can reflect any shape I choose to mold myself into and when I am confused about who I am a mirror is all I need for a simple look will remind me of this day when I thought I was stuck in my selfish ways and I can tell myself who I am and who I can be from this day on for eternity [This message has been edited by Thomas119gold (03-11-2003 02:58 PM).] |
