Oh garden of winter
shine the light my way
turn the soil deep
underground
breathe for me.

Amend the toil of days
that were, once more
tempt the sway of lavender
and fields of goldenrod
cascading easy ivy over
spring for me.

Be my summer breezy
dressed in yellow marigolds
climbing vines of periwinkle blue
perfume the air with jasmine
and the heady scent of roses
love me longer than forever,
love me tender.

Plant my weeping heart
and be my lover for all seasons
my shady in the sun
that shields my eyes from burning
for you're my one and only
and the reason for being.

Gather up my heart's bouquet
to arrange and give away
it's all I have to offer you
appeal to me please
and grant me patience to bide my time
allow me to reap what I sow
to bloom and grow forever
after the spring has come and gone.

The past two days here in Nashville have been 70's and up .... back home has been single digits.

Today hasn't passed 45 and am heading home on Wed. ...
.... yes!!!! Spring for me!!
