The park is empty on this early March twilight, The air rearranges small bits of trash for night; Then settles to a calm for the last rays of sunlight. A large truck rushes by on the narrow side street, Quickly goes along when safety should make it creep, The swirling behind it gives the dust a crude sweep. The wind blows by beneath the chilling of darkness Perfume of combustion and rubbish bins caress, Only the city glow detracts from my sadness. There is no moon to illuminate coming night There is no glad to fill my dreams in shallow sleep There is no tears to flow on my cheek with sadness. Gloom |

Professor, Oh, I enjoyed the imagery. So very well written. I found the ending, not gloomy, just plain sad. Enjoyed, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
