standing on a shadow's lace

This Flame

my arms are
in want
of your need
drawn nearer
I circle this fire
this gentle gift
of warmth
I have run from
now run to
pulled by
this un-taming
my feet betray me
as my breath
escapes me
in rhythm
of this blaze
and I taste
the flame
