Now Iris flies unto the wind As Dido’s life begins its end, The flames begin to smoke their fumes, And through the soot her soul—it looms In sunlit hair, adrift in way that curls itself in whisp’ry days Across the sun and reddened skies, Where blood is spilt, begins to fly And lift itself onto the wind, As Carthage ends and Rome begins. -Streen |

An enjoyable read, Streen. Love the unusual subject matter. |
