Will we hear spring
     Ring the sunshine bell
Or will a leader’s hatred
     Ring the death knell

The ides of March
    What will they bring
       Sunshine love and peace?
I fear the death bell

Good piece, brings about many questions in this time of uncertainty.  Love the opening lines.

Hi Paul...when I was in college, many years ago I wrote a poem....

Sweet spring
fruit trees fregrant
blossoms yielding tomorrow

Babies without breath
placed against
the bony hip of poverty

what sweet spring
what tomorrow?

different question, I suppose, but the same kind of anxiety..and I still wait for the hungry to be fed as I also pray for peace.

(big hugggssssss) I too fear for the world ever so much, my heart goes out to all the innocent who could be killed in this possible war! (sad sigh) I pray for peace with God, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Paul, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

..."I fear the death bell" as well, but hope springs eternal in my heart and I hope it continues to beat strongly in my "hope chest"...

Peace, Love, & Light,

Wow -- this reminds me of something I sent a friend last week, but didn't post here:

Beware
The ides of March.
Beware before the ides,
When the sticks of our joss will fall.
Pick them up before the curse comes to be;
Grab them before they fall prostrate,
Before Caesar is struck;
Before the ides,
Beware

Let's hope it goes better than either of our visions, and the world gets back toward rightness.
