Silence You stand there Ranting, raving, Fist clenching. As I lay here Weeping, broken, Knowing, when to be silent. Your menacing, dark eyes Glaring, radiating, Hot anger, burning my eyes. My frozen eyes, Defrosting tears Upon my broken body. My heart beating wildly, Sending life's blood Throughout, my ice cold veins. I lay here watching, Hoping, praying, Feeling relief. Your menacing, dark eyes Glance defiantly, As your ignorant ass Walks out the door. Ellen 2003 [This message has been edited by Ellen (03-02-2003 10:03 PM).] |

Only to wind up asking ourselves why should we care! That's the tricky part. Enjoyed your first post. Welcome Ellen! |

Midnitesun, Thanks for responding, that door and that part of my life remains closed. A person can only take so much and I took more than my share. |

Welcome to passions, Ellen. This touches my heart. Please remember one thing! You don't have to put up with this kind of treatment. And, if for some reason you can't leave, there is help out there. |

JamesMichael Thank you, I am glad you liked it...Yes, I kind of like the end too, I'm not one to use many bad words in a poem but I thought this one deserved something...Thanks again...Take care |

Susan Caldwell, Thanks for your reply Do you mean it sounds familiar because you read it before , or from the content of the poem? I had this posted in another poetry forum. Thanks for reading |
