I've tried putting spaces as the first few characters in a line, but it never works... the spaces never appear for me. For example, I'd write something like... < BR> Hi there and it would appear Hi there without the spaces at the start. How do I space in a line? & n b s p ; (non-breaking space) If you enter TWO spaces here in the forums, the software will automatically convert them to non-breaking spaces for you. But single spaces, for obvious reasons, it leaves untouched. |

Perhaps related.....I have a "shaped" poem I'd like to post. Is it possible? It isn't an elaborate design, not much more than a mushroom outline? Thank you in advance. |

our software will automatically convert multiple spaces into the correct HTML codes, though it often can run into problems when the number of spaces is an odd num- ber that can't be easily fix ed . So, Richard, if you can type it, it "should" show up pretty close to what you typed. |

Thank you Ron. I realized when getting in bed it was a somewhat foolish question because if the shape is symmetric and centered it should acheive the desired effect. I appreciate your quick response and the opportunity your site affords all viewpoints, all voices. Even those some may find unnerving at times. |

Yeah, you should have seen the formatting problems I had with Drug Trip (which isn't really about a drug trip, but I really couldn't come up with another title when I wrote it), especially when Nanners convinced me to paint the flag red. The format is the shape of a castle, and was a right bugger. And looking again, I see the main body of the castle if off by quite a bit. FYI: Each tower/turret is a separate poem or story, each one tieing into the castle body story at the point of intersection. The first goes with the first word, the second comes in at 'expendible', and the third ties into 'All hail'. |
