And isn't it a good thing poets don't run the planet?

Makes our ideological discussions look civil by comparison.....

Hats off to members, moderators, admins, owners, et al who weathered the storm.

Now can we just go back to some safer topics like politics and religion?  ...

It's good to see you back, Reb. I confess tho, I missed your voice of reason.

I just chalked it up to bad planetary alignment, m'self.

you were missed.

Micheal-- would I do that?

Martie-- I'm writing a book I think... it started out as a thread topic and then just turned into more than would fit in a paragraph -- you know how the muse is... it just leads you where it wants to go -- not that anyone would ever want to read it -- but once the words are in your head they have to come out -- there is actually a medical condition for this now but I can't think what it's called right off the top of my head -- but when we think we have to write -- turns out -- we do... writers brains are different.

But -- when and if I write a pome -- open will be the first place it goes...

Thanks for the encouragement.

Blazey -- thanks -- I missed me too?  And the whole crew -- I still am probably not around much... but.. gimme some time...

Nan -- and a very happy V day to you too....

nite all

Thanks Martie -- and to you too...

The word I was looking for -- "hypergraphia"

described in the book 'The Midnight Disease'  by neurologist Alice Weaver Flaherty.

I haven't read it but I caught a radio interview with the author -- pretty interesting to a writing community.

Hey Reb...I'll trade you books!  My rough draft is finished and in the hands of my editor [local] for some fine tuning.  As you say, you know how the muse goes, and she doesn't care if there's a typo [at first] as long as you can keep up with her.

Then it's on to find a agent!

Looking forward to holding a copy of yours!

While I'd be delighted to peruse your intellectual offspring Karilea I'm afraid my work is strictly not for publication -- you'd be quite bored with it after the first paragraph -- it would probably fall into the category of an exposition -- and would really serve no purpose in the grander scheme of things -- just some things I'm working out of my own brain -- may be of value to my children one day -- but that would be about it...I'm really only writing it because as my hair grows steadily grayer I perceive that I'm starting to lose a lot of things I used to know -- this will serve as an index of sorts.

Let me know when yours is ready -- I don't mind typos either!

Ethel -- thank you m'lady (bow) -- I'm afraid there shant be any new verse from these fingers anytime soon though...
