I've been watching a lot of CNN since Sept. 11th. Now, I find this a bit ironic. See if you agree. I saw a header go across the bottom of the screen, saying something to the point that Opec needed to do something so oil prices wouldn't slide. Now get this! A few hours later, maybe even a day later, they arrested a suspect who shot a hole in the oil line in Alaska, using a high powered rifle! Hmmmm!!!!! Now tell me this isn't an inside job here?? A high powered rifle? What in the world does that mean to you? Hmmm! And what did this "suspect" have to gain by shooting a hole in the oil line for anyway???? Hmmmm!!!! Does anyone find this strange but me? You can bet your bottom dollar that's an excuse for it to go up. I find it funny it hasn't made bigger headlines, or being investigated bigger than it is, if it is at all. HMMMMM!!!!! |

not strange to me it's all about oil and money all of it sad but that's my opinion that it's true money and oil has always been that way.... oh well! LOL!!!! oh WELL!!!! hehehe..... i crack myself up... deep subject, huh? well, Deep Pockets can dig in for control but basically, it's all out of ours.... i've been trying not to think of tomorrow but i know that tomorrow is all that we own .... since there's nothing that's left to be borrowed, and today is a day that's on loan..... i've been trying not to think of the damage, the lives spent for lining accounts of those who see dollars in french or in spanish in multiples of our withouts yes, basically if we have oil for the fire, there's people who'll readily buy it.. and some have the nerve to control the whole world with their greed in the name "sanctify it". little by litte, the lines have been crossed and all of it is about money. why bother, my friend, with a part of forever that won't bring in all the sweet honey...?.... but hey, i' am glad that you read the news now let us all quickly agree that money means nothing oil's greasy war's hell, we know ,,, *sigh* it;s just you and me..... and shooting those holes was somehow insightful the overflow, maybe the earnings of int'rest, investments, or mobil, exxon, or whatever the dollar, the yearnings... oh well, oh well oh what the hell deep subjects can oftentimes foil the rational thinking of otherwise wise when there's money inside of the oil [This message has been edited by doreen peri (edited 10-07-2001).] |

I'm in the industry myself from an administrative standpoint Rebecca. This incident has caused a bad spill, but hopefully they'll get this under control. They do believe it's an act of vandalism brought on by alcohol, by a local who lived in the area. It does not appear to be related to terrorism, but you'll notice in the article, they do note some of your concerns as well Rebecca. Thanks Kit for providing that. I didn't think it had anything to with terrorism. My thoughts were those of seeing them say they needed to do "something" to stop prices from sliding. I thought how conveinent that this guy shot it after that was said. Criminal background or not, I find it awfully timely for that to have happened. Thanks Kit for sharing that. It does bring more light to things, as I haven't heard much about it at all, but in these days, our own government lies to us, who's to say that wasn't set up. All I'm saying is to me, it's a big coincidence. |

welli know that this is a bt off the mark...but i just found out today that they make PLASTICS from oil!...interesting piece of information...it just makes you wonder exactly how valuble oil really is.-----> no wonder the big oil companies want higher prices! The day I stopped loving I died. |

I saw this in Today's Topics this morning and wanted to add my 2 cents. The news must think the people are truly stupid! Yes, this sounds so fishy. I, myself, wish I did not have to own a car! Of course the news doesn't have much to say, they are too busy covering every rotten detail of what we are going to blow up next. Who cares about oil spills and the environment and innocent citizens when we have a WAR going on...comeon people get with the program, Sheesh! Ya know, this is the first time I've really been angry, and it seems to be more directed at the US Government than the terrorists.
