Dazed and confused Jesse When I was a young man I vowed never to marry until I found the ideal woman. Well, I found her - but, alas, she was waiting for the perfect man. :( |

Well, my computer is far from state of the art but seems a technological marvel next to what you describe. A few months ago, I wanted to have my car restored but every current dollar was already earmarked, so I picked up an extra day a week at work and soon had saved enough to have the work done on my car. If it helps at all, my computer freezes up alot, too. It makes me crazy. Good luck! |

*anonymousfemales tip of the day* 1. Get a hammer, goggles and protective clothing. 2. Smash computer with hammer 3. Repeat step two as long as needed. Don't ask me about computers. I hate mine too. I'm not too good at money either. Actually, it likes to leave my hands frequently hence the lack of it but maybe you could develop a 'Save Jesse's sanity' fund where you donate a tiny bit of money a week or day to get a new comp. Good luck with retaining your sanity. If you need any help smashing up your comp, give me a yell. lol I'm a little teapot, short and stout! Here is my handle, here is my spout. *toot toot* |

Since money is tight, what about your local library? You can save your work to disk and view all you like for free. We have online help and everything at ours. 1 hour each day, unless no one else wants to use it is their policy. Or you could check into a program like Gateway and make payments. I think you just submit a credit ck and they deliver it right to your door. I think the payments could be very little if you just get basic. Good luck! Sincerely, Regina |

Jesse, I hate my comp too! And the sad thing is, mine freezes, locks up, dies, morphs into something new, and still seems to be smarter than I am! And I paid about $2,000 for mine about 6 years ago, spent well over $600 upgrading, and it's still a piece of %@#$**!&. I've finally decided that I'd rather spend my hard-earned money on other things - things that bring me delight and peace. I get alot of joy from my pc, but, it mainly loves to get my blood boiling!!! Live today as if it's your last. Love today as if it's your first. Lisa |

Hi! Maybe you know someone that has a significant amount of computer knowledge? PC's can be built for way less money than what you would pay if you bought a commercially built one. It takes a bit of know-how to do it properly though. I'd help ya out, but I'm on the other side of the US. Good luck though! |

Oh Jesse don't hate your puter....you must be nice with her. At least she gives you the opportunity to connect with us here in passions. I know all about the froozen screen myself from the time that I had an oldie too....but that way you learn to have patience....(think possitive right).... *s* and I think that advice of the library is pretty good. Just save up, and in the mean time you can just go to the public library and use the computers there for free, and when you get enough money saved up you can upgrade your computer. Or you can ask your parents if they can pay for it and then you can pay them back in payments. But if you ever need to talk or want to talk just email me, my email address is in my profile. Take care and smile, Andrea |

right you need to kno someone who builds puters or knos a bit about them. They cost less and if you know where they have computer fairs then that should put costs down too. If your afraid of the dark, then why did you come? |
