Just...hormones.

I understand on the other side sis.  Kinda like a steam boiler: without a release, bad things happen.

When I was a wee kid, I was sold as a trophy duster to a group of traveling Malaysian pimps. They made me wear socks full of curry and forced me to count their sheep when they slept. On Thursdays and Sundays, they sent me to the underground to have scientists slowly remove my hormones. What a strange process it was, like having a chicken wing burrito shoved in your ear and explodes into your brain.

lol

But anyways, I'll save the rest of that story for my therapist. It's almost a given in society that women are more hormonal and emotional than dudes, and I have to disagree. Women are just hormonal in different ways. Women may cry and get depressed but hormonal men might duke it out in fistfights or be general jackasses. I personally think hormones suck, like a Dyson or a Hoover.

There is a fine line between bravery and foolishness.

But you are young yet Ed.

You'll learn.

lol  bravery?

Are we talkin 'bout the same thing?

Do you mean brave in a fistfight? Or do you mean brave dealing with hormones? Because I think the "scientists" did a pretty good job at extracting most of them, lol

Hmmmm.....dem hormones can be pretty darn pow'ful!  But you know, it really tees me off when people blame things on hormones unnecessarily.  There's no doubt we women are affected by changes in hormonal balance (and men, too), but when some guy says, "ah just ignore her....it's just hormones" rather than trying to get to the root of what might really need to be discussed....well, it makes my "hormones" boil....lol!

Hey....how are you, Ser?

Good thing I'm typing because I can't talk with my foot in my mouth. Actually, it's my army boot in my mouth (yes my mouth is large enough to accommodate my size 13) What're you guys gonna do with me? What I am going to do with me? lol

Aristotle once said:

"Wit is educated insolence."

I'm not sure I fall into that category anymore. Lol

Oh and I think Iliana said it perfectly, my sentiments as well (mine just aren't as refined).

No, there’s  not . . .
Foolishness is jumping on a grenade to prove you are brave
Bravery is doing the same thing for your friends

Bravery is about choosing to die,
though if you're lucky, which you don't count on,
doesn't happen.

I’m no fool . . .

There’s no Heaven
Or Hell I’m going to
After this thing goes off

But Mark has a wife
Who wants him desperately back
And Jim is too young to die

So it might as well be me
Who passes into history
And let’s you then argue why

John?

Instead of jumping on the grenade, why don't you just toss that sucker back?

Then you can have your bravery, your heroics, and everybody (at least you, Mark and Jim) gets to live. For a while longer.

But that might require some intelligence too.

I'll tell ya what--I'll just put the pin back in the grenade.

No Walter Mitty dreams tonight.

see.

Men really do have hormone problems too.

Too much testosterone causes them to fight over who's in control.

Reg? I have often concurred more than once with your assessment, taking note that the problem may well be that men just don't bleed, and are therefore in a perpetual state of PMS.

I'd like to add that I can remedy that little problem too! (Or should I say, rectify? )

(endearing lil' thang, ain't I? *battin' lashes)

You two make me laugh - and...you are just figuring this out about the male gender?  K, you had me falling off my chair with your response, blunt yes, but oh so true.  However, have you ever been around a man with a cold or the flu?  It ain't a pretty picture, so can you even imagine, them with the "curse?"  LOL, oh I wish.

I rather enjoy mine, hormones that is.  They sure can empty a room with one shake of my fist, or keep me warm on a cold winter's night.
