. So the Telaban are gearing up for a Spring offensive. Where do these guys get the money for guns and ammo? And why isn’t anyone complaining about us being there? John . |

Where are they getting their money, John? News sources suggest their money comes from the poppy fields. There's also the trade in "blood diamonds." Why are we there? Because 1) we didn't get it right the first round and 2) we are members of NATO. My question to you would be, do you think the fact that NATO took over the situation in August 2003 made a difference? If so, was that a positive or negative thing? Why isn't anyone complaining that we're there? I think that's because "we" are there as a part of NATO. Should we break our treaties? Apparently, "intelligence" had it right this time as evidenced by the car bombing in Kabul earlier this week. It makes sense, though, because the U.S. has rotated back into command of the NATO forces and I would think the most aggressive action would occur while "we" are at the helm. |

iliana, “News sources suggest their money comes from the poppy fields. “ So as with oil, they’re finally getting the money from us . . . “I think that's because "we" are there as a part of NATO.” Which translates into the West, which is hardly less a target. “My question to you would be, do you think the fact that NATO took over the situation in August 2003 made a difference? “ No, see above; our young, (who I think make up most of the targets), still will die. What is it is thought our young men and women are fighting? John |

John, I certainly wish we weren't there. I was just answering the questions the way you posed them. |
