A Drink Or A Shrink? (if I am dreaming, don't pinch me) |

What a night. What a game. I wish I could say it was a great game, but...and I hate to admit it--but I couldn't watch most of it. I heard it though. I tried to escape by pacing on the porch. I could still hear it. I'm so glad it's over. I'm so very glad we won. I'd also like to thank the Philadelphia Eagles for their gracious sportsmanship. As for my subject line? It is from a quote today's column in the Time's Picayune by Peter Finney: quote: I have had drinks with shrinks, so I nodded vigorously at this one. Wandering in the wildnerness for forty years? (What IS it about that number?) And as for the remainder of the season, I have only one question: "Where can I rent a blood pressure machine?" Wow. And btw? We celebrated our win--in this house--with sparkling water. *cracking up* (I had eaten half a pack of Tums by that time, and anything else but water could have been ugly.) And nope, no dancing baby today. I'm too exhausted to even summon up a rooster strut. But okay, maybe just a little bounce. Wow. Just, WOW. |

You're not dreaming! Congratulations Karen! It was a fantastic game to watch...and hear. I did a little of both. I drank tea because that's what I always drink. Both teams played extremely well. If we had to lose to someone I'm glad it was the Saints! |

Serenity, you're from New Orleans right? I'm reading the most hilarious book right now by John Kennedy Toole. It's called " A Confederacy of Dunces." It takes place in New Orleans and is absolutely side-splitting; I can't put it down. It's also a Pullitzer prize winner. I think it might fit your sense of humor. I know it has nothing to do with this. I just thought I'd tell ya, lol. Cheers And I said to the devil, "You better leave my spleen alone." Lee? It was a very hard game for me to watch, and grin? you were surprised? I was surprised with every win. I'm still in shock. And Ed Grimm? You are reading one of my very favorite books. That viewpoint of New Orleans hasn't existed for a long time, an era long gone even before the storm, but there are still little pockets of communities where you can not only get "that vibe"--but you can hear the lingo. And no I don't tawk like dat--and I don't care whut Mysteria sez, dawlin'. And thanks all. Karen is recuperating. Not only did the Saints win--but um, we had a party, and the only pot here was crockpots, and we offered up one single six pack of beer and half of that is still in the fridge! There's been some changes made, all around. |

hehehe, yeah, Karen, I was surprised...to be candid, I don't follow football all that much...so I didn't realize how good the saints were...and they are a terrific ball club...I think it's great you guys are on a roll Hey, I heard on the radio this morning, that Brad and Angelina bought a home in the French Quarters and plan to send their children to school down there...yanno, this might be just the ticket for New Orleans, helping bring more public awareness about your plight. They might publically ignite more awareness to rebuild and get that area in order? I certainly hope so. Love to you |

Lee? Wow. Brad and Angelina? It's official. New Orleans is now a third world poverty stricken country. I wish I were cuter. Maybe they'd adopt me! |
