Our company sends boxes and letters to the soldiers in Iraq. They write back and thank us and give us interesting news.  One I read the other day told about a little girl who was sitting in the middle of the road clutching a little bear one of the soldiers had given her. The convoy stopped and this soldier went over to her quietly to see  what the problem was.  She sat there clutching that little bear and pointed to the road just ahead of her. There sat one of those bombs the  terrorist toss around without a care of who gets hurt. This little girl sat there until one of the soldiers went and disabled the bomb. So he said one never knows when they send a letter, a toy or what ever,  who or what will come of that action. In this case a small toy sent from  the U.S. helped save the life of those men.
Please send letters and gift boxes to any one there and find more names.  Thank you, martyjo!

And who would deny her a world
of little bears instead of bombs

not a poet and John, thanks for reading. And John,  not me. I have a bag of stuffed new toys ready to send off. I think it is a wonderful way to help. We may not be able to reach the older kids who have already been brain washed, but we can try for the younger ones. Books, school suplies and toys. I even think a sign language for kids might be helpful! Who knows?? best martyjo

Here is a camp address and I suppose it can be sent to:
Fst Sgt Bernard Dasher
for Any Soldier at:
414th Transportation Co.
2nd Platoon
Base Camp Adder
APO AE 09331

They really like mail and practical things, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, writing paper, snacks, canned snacks, hard candy,. i picked up the boxes at the post office that you can mail anywhere for $7.50. They are all well recieved. Thanks for any who can help.

Best to all, martyjo
