The Leader

Patient and steady with all he must bear,
Ready to meet every challenge with care,
Easy in manner, yet solid as steel,
Strong in his faith, refreshingly real.
Isn't afraid to propose what is bold,
Doesn't conform to the usual mould,
Eyes that have foresight, for hindsight won't do,
Never backs down when he sees what is true,
Tells it all straight, and means it all too.
Going forward and knowing he's right,
Even when doubted for why he would fight,
Over and over he makes his case clear,
Reaching to touch the ones who won't hear.
Growing in strength he won't be unnerved,
Ever assuring he'll stand by his word.
Wanting the world to join his firm stand,
Bracing for war, but praying for peace,
Using his power so evil will cease,
So much a leader and worthy of trust,
Here stands a man who will do what he must.

President George W. Bush.

It's an acrostic. I don't know the author.

Sincerely,
Noah Eaton

Here--a kiss on your other cheek--

You do understand you are outta cheeks now--or are you?

Here's a little more information regarding this mysterious poem.
http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2005%5C12%5C06%5Cstory_6-12-2005_pg1_2

Apparently the author is unknown among seemingly every circle.

I disagree with some of the views the poem has toward Bush, but it is a rather finely organized acrostic indeed.

Sincerely,
Noah Eaton

Noah
I don't see a line in it that I agree with!

This portrays him as an acceptable, competent leader and is filled with falsehoods....the propaganda machine has certainly run over someone who chooses to remain "anonymous"

Of course this is only my opinion..

To be fair, I wouldn't think of it as propaganda, as there are many who do believe Bush has the qualities of a leader. It is an opinion, no doubt about that, and it's obviously a pro-Bush opinion.

While I don't believe Bush exhibits many of the strongest characteristics of leadership (we all have our own rhetorical, unique ideals in what makes a leader), all I'm saying was though I disagree with the content, it is a very well-written poem, and certainly many wouldn't recognize the acrostic action on the left-hand side immediately.

Sincerely,
Noah Eaton

Leave it to Noah to notice anything on the Left...

Serenity....go easy on those cheek kisses. In noah's present state even that could get messy

(giggles) Acrostics do have a blatant leftward bias, come to think of it, LOL! I feel the time has come to balance the field with a last letter fest, what'd you say?

(giggles) No, I'm OK! Though I've never been kissed on the lips yet either playfully or romantically, my former art teacher Ms. Twarogowski kissed me on the cheek multiple times and it was pacifying! (smiles) All other experiments are in delay until further notice, LOL!
