Where no tyranny is tolerable

What would happen if you were to put a human vocal mechanism in a dog?
Would the dog then be able to talk?
Maybe say things like:
human, sit, sit, ..
You've been treating me like a dog, you know.
It's about time I start  treating you like a human.
Now, how would you  like taking commands from me for a change!

Actually, there is a product available that sort of translates dog action into human verbalese.

I wish I had a link, I saw this product offered courtesy of our Japanese friends--offered on the Animal Channel.

This thing gauges pet reactions and matches appropriate "human" responses to them, giving them (the animals) the ability to apparently "speak".

WOOF.

Wow.

Yep. It was a little weird, but I barked thrice.

kinda cool, yanno?

yip yip yip

*pant*

lol, I think we might hear some serious growling

maybe some barking and yipping

possibly some bones chomping

definitely hiding the dog collar and obedience training manuals

LOL...oh Jaime...I want to know what my dog is REALLY thinking when she does her "happy dog dance" after getting a meal she particularly enjoyed!

"Look, I'm doing this so YOU'RE happy, alright?"

I thought about this awhile, and I think the charm of dogs is that they can't talk.

Although my "Annie" has a two word vocabulary--she says "Mama" and "water".

What more does a dog need? Er, besides thumbs?

sigh

Come to think of it? If dogs had thumbs and could talk, I might as well adopt teen-agers.

Serenity blaze, I think I know what your talking about.  My brother's in collage taking advertising, and he got to do an advertisement for a dogtranslater called Bowlingual. Here's the link to a newspaper article written about it:

Thanks Alli, and ain't it a trip?

*shaking my head*

(thanks so much--I'd forgotten the name)

Or should I say Woof?

Sheesh.
