Poets Pen

A poet’s pen is never done
In sarcasm or just in fun
Writing history or casting love
It rides a dragon or a dove.

It takes you to the very edge
With sympathy or just a pledge.
It fills you full of awe and fears
Or echoes you with whaling dears

It wheels you into dark extremes
Or takes you into lovers dreams
It sails you into fairies far
Or makes you wander who you are.

It is an art that fills the mind
With structured or unstructured find
That sings a song of come along
And never minds the right or wrong.

A poet is an alchemist
An enzyme of the magic mist

Listening to every heart

A poet leaves a trail of tears
and discovers awesome fears
He writes of things that never end
discovers treasures around the bend

He weaves a story of renown
then slips on a magician's gown
and if the reader seeks fortunate lines
a woman's write will be just fine

Then the two of them will soon impart
a weaving of romantic hearts
how lucky if tea is served to sip
while reading here at our own PiP
