A slow shatterd beat attacks
in a raving pace set from
years of lasting existance
stolen in fragmented segments of pain.
When first touched, lingering
just above faulty skin
that laughs at the thought
of anything but pain.
A cry erupts deep inside
shatering the mind of all hope,
falling at last to the ground
nothing, nothing comes to pass.
All truths begin when lies
fail to bring out the past,
leaving you to wonder
what is the source of hope.
A sprinkling of heavens tears
that the angels have lost
spare you the final anguish
of repeating you mistake.
Yet that slow beat still grows,
filling the void you fear
as you gather yourself up,
lifting your eyes to the stars.

Hope is hard to find much less hang on to!
Lots of good thoughts to ponder in this,
and I especially liked what you said at the end about
the light from the stars and the hope we might find there.
