In silent celluloid they stand along the make believe street a moment of reverent quiet for a time so bittersweet Joining hands they sing the tunes he helped bring to the screen rivalries forgotten now such a site, unforeseen He gave them life and energy giving us smiles along the way so many friends dipped from his pen and just as popular today The passing of their friend has brought such sadness and some tears and yes, we feel it too, I’m sure as we’ve known him all these years His name may not be familiar Who was this man, Chuck Jones? but we remember his creations in childish milestones Wile E. and Bugs are here and the Grinch whom he directed Pepe Le Pew stands to the side his vibrant scent again rejected Though we may not know his face we know each of his cartoons Today we lost the creator of Warner Brother's Looney Tunes In Memory of Chuck Jones 1912 – 2002 From the Website of Chuck Jones: “ A small child once said to me: ‘You don’t draw Bugs Bunny, you draw pictures of Bugs Bunny.’ That’s a very profound observation because it means that he thinks the characters are alive, which, as far as I am concerned, is true,” recalls animation director Chuck Jones. Jones helped bring to life many characters during the Golden Age of animation including some of Warner Bros.’ most famous “Looney Tunes” characters—Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and Porky Pig. The list of characters that he created himself goes on—Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Marvin Martian, Pepe Le Pew, Michigan J. Frog, Gossamer, and many others. |

Thank you Sharon. I swear I wouldn't know what was going on without you! What a part of our history, a common bond that we share. Great tribute. (and so this is what you've been doing! ) |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sharon, this is so very sad to hear, I have always loved Chuck Jones and Looney Tunes since I was a little boy. I used to watch it all the time, and I still do every weekend on Cartoon Network or when I have free time and it is on, I no doubt believe he is one of the greatest cartoon directors of all time! (kiss on cheek) This is a fabulous tribute to a wonderful man, sweet friend, we all love you so much! God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

If I don't wake again tomorrow, If my breath should cease to be... Would you do me a great favor - Would you write my eulogy? To most, news brings a moment's grieving But you pick up your loving pen And through the words you write in tribute A silenced voice is heard again. |

Fair maiden of the south tis your voice that rings true I would only stand and sing a song of tribute to you For in your poet's heart is a truth 'oft laid bare and I for one would miss you if you chanced to not be there. Thank you all again!! And thanks Suthern Lady! |
