HAZE Dark haze descending, swallowing me whole, Blinding me in its density, shrouding my soul It comes without warning to take me away Into its darkness, it begs me to stay. This calm and heavy, impenetrable haze Impairs my vision, blurring my gaze. In this surreal world of opaque dreams Nothing is really all that it seems. I fear its presence, its staid and profound weight. It tears at my soul and I wonder if this is my fate. Am I doomed to live in this fog forever? Is it a part of me, will we always be together? As I begin to think it will never leave It begins to fade and I start to believe. Maybe I can free myself from this haze at last At least for a while, until it returns again from the past. "What makes letting go hard isn't losing what you had, but losing the dream of what could have been." |
