Purpose of the Poet |

Some people say we're foolish To while away our time... Dwelling on our daydreams- And jotting down our rhyme. What purpose serves the poet? What profit is the sage? Why friend, we are, have always been- The conscience of our age. We see beyond the commonplace- Of how things seem to be. Delve into the unknown depths- We call Eternity... What impact has our dreaming? And what of things we write? Our works, just like a traveler's fire... Burn bravely in the night. Aye, true, our words might stir a heart- Indeed, 'tis their design... I'll think, I'll write, while breath remains... Within these lungs of mine. |

You pack a pretty mean pen there, my friend. Your words emulate all that we are and all that we do. Absolutely wonderful!!! |

excellent. . . indeed, that is our purpose. . . to speak for those who cannot. . . well done. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

I'll think, I'll write, while breath remains... Within these lungs of mine. There's really no other choice, is there? *S* For the words and thoughts are there regardless... repaid a thousandfold when we realize we've made a difference. *S* Excellent work, GS... may your lungs continue to breathe poetry. *S* |

BRAVO!!! Yes, may we all from the top of our lungs breathe the beauty of life and express true poetry as we write out our thoughts always and speaking for God and all that is good! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, I'm so happy to see you still writing! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet John, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
