The Softly Falling Rain The fog in San Francisco, Comes rolling from the Bay. To bring to dreamers visions, Of kingdoms far away. Where virgins still are waiting_ And dragons to be slain... You can taste the salt of all their tears- In the softly falling rain. There is no time for dreaming- In the bustle of this life... We poets are a dying lot, Amid it's trials and strife. The age when we were welcome- Will never dawn again- Our tears like theirs are washed away, By softly falling rain. |
