Another day has passed away, now gone the morn of new
The sun has been, the day I’ve seen, with still much more to do
The night has come with gone the sun, this veil of blinding cover
I search and feel but cannot heal my need for friend or lover

The mountain now, is high somehow and stops my travel wish
The inner dream with life won’t team, so bland this daily dish
We’re not so brave with future grave and look back with regret
When many years are filled with tears and mind that won’t forget

So sit alone by wall that’s grown, accepting fate and end
Or find a way to love each day by good wish and pretend
For life is this, dead friends I miss, they gone don’t come and tell
I seek the best until days rest and give the wishing well

A very contemplative piece ... you gave me a lovely pause for ponder this morning, and left me with a gentle reminder to cherish the day and those around me. A wonderfully flowing piece as always Rick ... very much enjoyed!
