To Yearn For A Love

Please tell me this is love
shared by my sweetheart and me.
I simply dread the thought
of any other possibility.
For if I were to believe in
the presence of love and were
to find that it wasn't love at all
but only a word that could be
used at someone's beckon call
and in truth there is no love after all
that would be the saddest experience
that this man could bear.
To desire a love worthy
of two lovers to share.
To believe in a love that
wasn't actually there.
To want to pursue it so bad
as if it were impossible to resist.
To yearn for a love
that simply doesn't exist.

(sigh) I too felt a sadness behind these words, sweet friend, I too hope this love is real for you for you deserve the greatest happiness always!
