I've often wondered what it's like
to be a drop of water
     against a pane of glass
clinging to that hard, cold surface
while trying desperately to fight
     against gravity
          (and windshield wipers)

a tiny little bead
containing a microcasm of wonder
a million possible worlds on
     a sheet of silicon

and so, I would remain there

until the wind
blew me onto your cheek

as a memory

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this is wonderful, sweet friend, this too made me wish for the rain so much to come and to step outside and feel the warm spring drizzles! (big hugggssssss) This is powerfully emotional, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sven, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I am wondering if this isn't an analogy of how sometimes we have to hold on to that cold hard surface until we are swept into the warmth of another. your raindrop is truly a microcosm of the human condition.

Well written,

Beautiful! I am thinking that I feel just like that drop, clinging to the windshield.
Great work.

Well, the first part of this made me think of all the rain that was beating on my windscreen as I came home tonight. But then I got to the last part

until the wind
blew me onto your cheek

as a memory

and that made me think of more than rain drops…of memories I treasure, and memories I would like to be. Good write Sven.

Well Sven Pen, I love these introspective pieces from you.  This is a simple yet clever write.  The ending is excellent...it's a keeper

Take care,
