I bought a newspaper today
I wanted to see what it had to say
The headlines caught my eye
As I read on my temper grew
Words started to fly
The government was doing me in… again
They were building a prison six miles away
For what was called the worst of the worst
That would hold a thousand on any given day
The more I read the madder I got
It was being built to do us a favor
I just wonder with what were their drinks flavored
To make matters worse
Another headline read
All dogs and cat banned from the county
The county commission must be out of their head
The only ones allowed are ones used on farms
It was quoted to have been said by the Commission president
That we must ask all residents
To drop the animals off just over the county line
I still think they are out of their ever loving minds
I think it will be the last paper I buy

I'd move. I'd tell them a thing or two on my mind first, then, I'd move. grrrrrrrr.....
that would really freak me out if I lived there.....

Thanks Susan for being the bigger blonde and falling for it first!  I was right behind you.
Good one, Alan!

Ah, I didn't fall for it like the blonde ones!!! Lol. I would have with the prison part, but not with the animals. As soon as I read that part I knew it must be an April fool joke. (I just bought a new house, only to find it's only a couple of blocks from the women's prison...unfortunately, that's no April fool joke!!)

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

(sigh) Oh my gosh, I am so happy this is just an April Fools joke, for I would be so very upset if that whole animal thing was real! (big hugggssssss) This is so very crafty, sweet friend, you sure got us all here, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Alan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
