Contradiction of Feel I feel the tension, the tautness of face, the lack of sleep, the twitch of eye, as worry begins to take hold, my body controlled by some unseen force. I have only my words, constricted, anxious in wait, some say, expressing better than ever in a non-rhyming way. But... In the course of a day, the only pleasure derived is from thoughts of you, and even in their worst moments, they were some of the best for me. |

I feel the tension, the tautness of face, the lack of sleep, the twitch of eye, as worry begins to take hold, my body controlled by some unseen force. I liked the poem a lot, Maureen. It reminds of my feelings about my cancer... especially the part about being controlled by an unseen force... Isn't it interesting how poems can have many meanings?.... ~hugggssss~ copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |

Yes even in the worst moments comes some of the best treasures...for all who care, I would say! Very nicely done! As usual! |
