Ron, I'll give you the special honor
her firstborn lamb is named after you
she would've been such a good mother
but I had to put her down, this ewe

When the vet came to perform this task
to a second lamb she had given birth
Noah, for being such a caring person
the black one will carry your name on earth

I had help from my daughter to feed them
they were hungry and drank all the milk
don't you think they're so precious lambs
when stroking their fur's it feels like silk

After they had their bellies full
they lay down on the grass to rest
I'll mourn their mother's death, I will
for her Eastergift, I'll do my utmost best

The mother had a severe uncurable braindammage, but she showed so much love for her lambs. I've asked the vet to put her down, for the stress of not being able to take care of these lambs was too much for her. It was a hearthbreaking sight. So, sad as it may be, I'm happy with her precious Eastergift.

I know, I know Titia, what pain you have over having to put down such a precious life, but if she could not care for her lambs, at least she left them in very very good hands....

Lovely poetry Titia. Is a 'spotted' lamb unusual? All I've ever seen are pure white or black ones....

Titia, you've picked good names for those little sweeties. I'm sorry mom had to be put down, but was the kindest choice for all.
Wow, these two are beautiful!
and congratulations.

Beautiful sentiment, Titia. Death and life...endings and beginnings. Such is the way of life, even among lambs.....

A beautiful gesture for Ron and Noah, Titia.....Its too bad about the mother, but at least she is out of her misery, after giving you such a beautiful Easter gift.
Thank you for sharing all of these beautiful little lambs with us...and I am honored to have these 2 little brothers.

Hi friends, the lambs are doing fine, warming themselves in the sun and drinking their bellies full.

I have such fun choosing names from the blue pages, because each year it became more difficult to think up names and now I have so many to choose from.

I've been watching and reading about these little lambs of yours.  What a sweet gesture to name them after your friends here.
Enjoyed the pictures so much Titia, and I am sorry about their Mum, bless her for the wee ones she has left in your loving hands.  I hope you'll keep us posted.
