I feel like I have lost something
a lingering ache which I cannot fully grasp
as I sit here with my empty arms, wanting
only to have someone to hold on to
Can you pass your days
with only half of your feelings intact
and still pretend to be happy, without feeling
like your world is slowly fraying
I only know that you are no longer with me
that the log truck with it's screaming breaks
never had the time to slow enough
to spare me your loss
It is hollow here
will the open scar ever begin to heal
as I drag myself from bed with only the thought
that you would want me to go on
I cannot even see myself anymore through the
alcoholic haze I have driven myself into, and much
may my ending be as tragic as yours, but with me
it will be all my fault
