Broken trust lay shattered on the ground and I cried when I realised it was over I didn't know his manipulations and lies would leave me broken and unsure I didn't know I'd have difficulty believing you when you say you'll never leave I thought I'd be able to love like I'd never been hurt But it turned out I'd been scarred beyond healing And now I struggle to find a way to explain my insecurities and why I have difficulty believing when you say you love me and will never leave me broken I struggle to explain my paranoia... to myself most of all I have no words to tell you that I'm like a wounded animal and need loving care How much I want to trust you... How very much I want the scars of the past to heal. I am a geek!! |
