Green and gold, like serpents entwined With scarlet, black and indigo, Like ribbons pulled from nightsweat dreams Or hallucinating drunkards; Writhing in the growing glow of Sulfur-streaming flames, The choking smoke and drifting ash Greet you at the threshold And seem to say, "Welcome to your new home." (sigh) Wow, this is incredible imagery and voice in your writing, sweet friend, I think every now and then we can be lost like this and wonder where we are going even when we are going about it the right way! (big hugggsssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nancy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Nan my dearest friend this is awesome, truly exceptional writing. The imagery alone would have made this arresting reading, when it’s combined with your amazing skill of form it’s utterly utterly perfect. YOU know I adore your writing, simply adore it, you have the skill to write in a whole range of styles across the board. I sometimes wonder why I’m not insanely jealous of you darling heart, I suppose it’s because I know I’ll never be this good. Oh and maybe because I adore you too my dearest friend, you are simply the best. You do know I really LOVE this don’t you? I thought you would pick up the subtle and delicate nuances of my rapture. That too is one of the reasons I adore you, you always know when to laugh Fabulous writing darling heart utterly utterly fabulous Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

Dear Marsha, If you didn't love something I wrote I'd be so depressed. So you have to keep saying it, even if you don't mean it. Happy Easter! Hope you find lots of chocolate eggs! Dear Rosepetal, I'm so glad you liked that line, it was my favorite in the poem. Dear Midnitesun, Thank you, I'm so glad you liked it. Nan |

Beautiful words, Nan...but I hope that this wasn't what happened when you moved into your house ! If it was...then you have my sympathy. Anyway.......the words are beautifully strung together, and I hope you have a wonderful Easter...and may the Easter Bunny bring you many fat free chocolate eggs! ~hugs~ copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |

Lyra, Ha! Fat-free chocolate eggs and fat free chocolate pie with lite cool whip. I eat all this good stuff, why don't I have a fat-free body? It's a scientific puzzle. I could blame my genes, but Mom weighs 85 lbs. Oh well, I'll blame her anyway. Nan |
