So the edge sinks As words draw deeper the flesh Soul lacks but envies And each drop spilled Is not replaced with milked kindness Mothered from breast of love Nor saved without spoiling In soured ways the agony Let loose in each Splat Of Drip Serrations of sentence Rip even old and toughened scars To again bleed bright Then in ugly puckered remembrance Glare red eyed back when examined Leaving marks On back of retina Not even time Can completely ignore So the edge sinks Sharp whetted in quick sliver slicing Leaving servings thin enough To offer even you A taste of Essenced Hunger |

Baron of beef, anyone? Talk about edgy... now I'm hungry... for a little more poetry, please. I'm always game for seconds... |

Jellybeans... sorry if it was painful..just one of those things that had to come out for no particular reason.. Soliel: Hungry for seconds are you? My my... usually one dose of reading me is enough for a person. Thanks to the both of you for commenting and I'll see if there is any more edgy left for seconds Soliel. |

(sigh) Wow, this is excellent, sweet friend, I too could feel the aches reading this poem as if my eyes were bloodshot and those thoughts left scars on me! (big hugggssssss) You are a true wizard of expression, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
