the drivein has been closed for years now
they never tore it down,
just let it dissolve slowly
like our moments together
as we savor them with our mouths

backed in with the tailgate down
and that old matress from the thrift shop
who needs a movie to watch
the way you look in moonlight
when you don’t want to wrinkle your dress

you like the cave under my arm, you say
when you fit your little girl there
and sip part of my wine
and hold it in your mouth
to make it the right temperature

just before you give it to me
in a kiss and ask me if I want more
and if I like it better just from the bottle
then you pout at how long I make you wait
while I look at your eyes and don’t answer

you pull my finger down to make it reach there
so it  will touch just the ends of you
so lightly and  you say I  make them come on
your woman lights, when you just think of my hands
and did I notice you were not really cold anymore

you ask  me if worms cuddle when they sleep
and would it be silly to pretend they did
and we were…and did we have to sleep
if we did , or could we just wiggle around
and pretend we were dancing under ground

I enjoyed... you paint the scene well and spice it with enough emotion to make it real.

I suppose you know by now, that I love your poetry, but I'll tell you again anyway....I love your poetry

DarkStranger~
You place just enough sensuality-laced thoughts in your pieces
to draw one close to a *sigh*~
