There Was A Party Going On

~*Mom Tindal*~

There was laughter in the living room
long into the early dawn
I swear the picture came alive
There was a party going on~

How they laughed in merriment
on the wall, within that antique frame
These four precious 'angels'
playing their childhood games~

I stood there in astonishment
from the time they began the dance
Honest Injun, they came to life
as though time had not advanced~

Each of them giggling n' snickering
as they laughed in childhood play
Brothers and sister from the photo playground
reminding me of an earlier day~

My heart was caught in memories
Seems like only yesterday, I know
when they were all so very small
Yet it was a time so long ago~

Tracie, Robert, David and Steven
thank you for your laughter last night
That party going on in the living room
was REALLY out of sight~

~*~
Come back and play again little darlings~

Hey! If you say it, that's good enough for me...'cause you say it so well!!

What beautiful things photographs and memories are... they let our minds travel in time. *S* This is delightful, Marge... and now you can appreciate the party without the teensiest desire to yell "y'all hush up in there!" *G*

Margie girl sweet sister of my heart this is utterly utterly delightful. I swear I could hear the merry laughter of the children. I love the imagery in this darling girl so sprightly and free. Those memories are so precious to us, and thank you for sharing yours with me.

Wonderful writing as always, you really do have a magic quill darling heart

They never really grow up, do they, at least not in a mother's heart.

Just love it Marge, brings back memories.
