A State of Disarray

0 posted 2002-03-24 05:23 AM

Lost vintage, strolls in memories
Too vacant to recall
Yet haunting and lilting-
A splash against a writhing soul.
Oh, destitution-
A hope never received
That twists in my belly
This never ending ache of mourne
For time, for love
Loss of honor and indignation.
So, once, a passion curled
Seducing tomarrow in glory
Not felt, forever yearned
Yet slid away in time's cruel passing.
Awaking to a morn, alike all others
To pass the day in respites play
Waiting for something more
An act in vain.
For this world closes
Each night, the click of a light
Passing living off as adventure
Giving back beauty wrinkles of decay.
The earning of age, whispers
In solemn, curtailed regime
To wisen those who fight hardest
'Til living is something obscene.

...To wisen those who fight hardest...

A bold line, in a sea of richness. This place has been my own home at times, as I reflect on where I need to be, and fly.

Much love to you for your life. ThisDiamond

Seymour Tabin-Awe shucks...I'm just venting!

strbbux-Thankyou for the compliment...from you this is incredible praise.

Dulcinea-Insomnia is sometimes the greates tool for poetry.  Thanks for reading...I was worried about the flow BTW.

Noah-You, too, are a sweet friend.  Sometimes keeping that faith is the hardest thing one ever does!  You are a dear...you know.
