Leave not upon the moor in death my corpse to be another meal take me ‘pon utterance last breath as lips touch and life is once sealed Wrest my heart from this silent chest as love’s gift, for thee I adore ‘Member me ‘cause I fought my best as chill of night invades the shore Fear not my fair, thy love endured though the eyes become dull and hazed Upon my shield in blood inscribed thy name written forever here stays. Lay me in darkest hole of yon beneath the oak upon the hill Close my eyes, softly kiss upon Please warm from this shiver and chill I loved you as noble knight should and kept thee ever safe from harm Return ever faithful I would to hold thee, keep thee covers warm Though flesh doth feed this mighty tree and acorns fall to ground like tears Smile of eyes shall return to thee in eternal dreams all the years. I love the medieval romance in this poem, Barry... Though flesh doth feed this mighty tree and acorns fall to ground like tears Smile of eyes shall return to thee in eternal dreams all the years. Now....about those acorns! copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |

Magnus darling boy OH MY how beautiful is this? Absolutely exquisite writing, the lines fall from the lips like the gentle tears of a love ended too quickly to bear it’s destined fruit. This is simply stunning writing, I’m sorry Magnus it’s just not fair there ought to be a prohibition of poets with your abundance of talent from writing more than two masterpieces a week. I adore you darling boy you know I do, but I’m just going to have to kidnap you or something. HOW, I ask you darling boy, are all the poets with a normal amount of talent supposed to be able to shine as brightly as you do? Hmmmmm is this fair darling boy, is this cricket? And as for me trying to compete with you, huh, I might just as well put my pen down now. Because I can’t, not in the least, I’m a candle to your sun. Okay now it’s understood, only two masterpieces a week, otherwise it’s the kidnap option. Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |
