Mate Of The Soul

We've never met
and yet, I know your heart,
the length, the depth and the heighth of it;
For, I know that you exist
as sure as I taste my own breath.

You are the mate my soul has reached for
in search of beautiful bond
in all it's strong fragility.
You are my deja vu
of one heart and spirit
through past, present and future kisses kindled
in bask of destiny fulfilled.

We are earth and universe
soaring as eagles in sweet exhale
through the wind's fingers
into the arms of sacred dance.
You'll hear the sound of laughter
echo through my heart
in beat with whispers of love
woven in the tapestry of us.

In mesh I wear your flesh
of kismet gown profound,
a familiar unknown
through the mapping of your soul.
Your smile spreads it's spill of quill
upon my pages of skin,
you write of simplicities and intricacies
that's in perfect rhyme with mine.
I drink of your ink
in cadence of friend and kindred
into a sigh's vastness
of love's meter and flow.

Reason never questions why
and karma does not explain,
for, this is God's plan
it's not in our hands.
Yes, this is where we belong
falling into each other's eyes
bathed in spring blossom
so that the icy touch of winter
shall never frost our union.

You are my cup of life
in which I sip
of a hundred vows before
where you and I sailed
across the sea of amore
through passion overfloweth
into the cream of dreams come true.

Ah Melybee, one of your finer works, I do believe...this just rolled off my tongue and I do like reading it aloud, but in a hushed voice...this one is meant for two...shhhh....I hear them whispering now...

said Melissa, "I hope you like it?" Well, do bears go in the bush?  LOL, beautiful, in a romantic sort of way it outshines them all, but you always do, don't you?

Thank you all so much!  This poem actually means a lot to me, and, I also feel that it is one of my best, although there's always room for improvement.

I'm just a hopeless romantic and for some reason I seem to be obsessed with lovey dovey things this week

I’m sighing here. This is such a gorgeous piece Melissa. You’ve described a soul mate with such beauty and depth of heart. Just lovely.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Melissa,
All I can say...Is SO incredibly beautiful.... You speak from the heart of what so many of us feel, and believe. We all search for that love, that passion, that soulmate, and your words make it seem a little closer to coming true. You have a true gift, and your writing affects me more than I can say...
