the crystal shard cutting your eye came from the heart of a young man so blessedly ignorant of your type he waded into your pain like water except you had only faked it and everything else in your sorry life so involved in getting somewhere never noticing the blisters where you tread what you saw in him was not interest at least not in his heart, money yes a way to bide your time, pay your bills extracting the cost from his blood all this time he believes in you his fragile heart held in your hands you grow bored get a loan from daddy and with crocodile tears in your eyes you smash his heart with a hint of a smile |
