Never Write Again |

I've really been quite foolish, With my words to touch a heart. Inflicting pain and longing, And to do so isn't smart. A gift of words should never harm- Yet mine have brought much pain. And in consideration.... I must never write again. A product of the sage and sand- I blew in on a breeze... And like the restless tumble weeds I cannot rest at ease. How many people have I hurt- From reading my refrain? I think it best for all concerned, To never write again. My heart is filled with wanderlust- My mind does dote on dreams... I write of never, never land, Where nothing's as it seems. I'm burying the dreamer- Out upon the cyber-plains... To stop his inspiration... So he'll never write again. |

Hey---you're not hinting anything are you? I hope you're not! Anyway, to the critique...I liked how it rhymed. It made it easier to understand! Thanks for sharing! Others are too in love with the sound of their own voice to speak the truth... |

John, I most certainly hope this is just a poem, and not true that you are going to give up writing. You are a very good writer and I enjoy reading you....you would be terribly missed. Please rethink the thoughts you have penned should they indeed be true. ~Hugs, Nancy~ ~Time has cast a spell on you, |

I heard once that as long as blood courses through your vains, the pen of a poet never dies.....I don't think your pen will ever stop writing!! (I hope not anyhow!) |

G.S. With a talent such as yours, it would be a crime to lay aside the pen. Wanda |

Fiction, I hope, this write; I've never known to be hurt by your pen, for you have wielded it well, and with sagacity...write on, poet...it is in you, and to stop it now, would mean a tumbleweed would never roam again... |
