Sometimes the things I write about
Are right there in your face
Quite often I may write of
Something romantic edged in lace

My emotions flow so freely
Due to something I might read
A certain story may touch me
Maybe of someone in desperate need

My everyday life experiences
Flow through my pen as I write
As I may write of drug addicts
All alone in the dead of night

You've viewed life through my eyes
As you've read my humble words
Even though there may be those
Who think I'm away with the birds

But I've always been a dreamer
I could dream my life away
But I reluctantly return to reality
At the end of every day

If my words have touched your heart
Or have caused you to smile
Then you've paid me the greatest compliment
And made my writing so worthwhile

Yes Sue, your words have always managed to touch my heart, and more than once, have inspired me into ways of writing I didn't know lived somewhere deep within me...

Yes...

Sue, YES your words have touched my heart, made me stop and think,
and most certainly make me smile.
This is some kind of terrific!

Sue...I believe that this holds very true
with myself as well....I write feelings..

Sometimes I cannot put down on paper the
depth of them...Yet,  at other times...I
can put them down in blood....

YOU,  have given us your greatest gift...
And I...will treasure this gift and lock
it away in a special place...

The memories of my heart...

Thank you for this poem and for all of your
writings and the deep sincerity you have
given each of us...

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

You've definately made me smile! Thanks for the read, and keep writing, eh?

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather, not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

Now you know you touch my heart, in so many ways, your poetry, your smile, the little thoughtful cards that you send, simply being you!  Your writing has grown so much and your feelings, insights, and sharings are awaited by many now Sue.  However, I have a request that you do write some about that beautiful garden of yours, I miss those.  So, thank you - for all that you share here.

The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.
