kiss on cheek

high windows flickerin' down through her pain
everybody's in step with the season and ahead of the rain
I asked her how the weather was and she said
just a minute I’ve got to check my almanac which read
tomorrow may be fifty percent slow and the other half dead
I wondered if she had been out in the last week or so
because I knew she was a home-body and never ever goes
she lives on the fifty second floor and it’s a long way down
said she doesn’t get out much or around in the town
her horoscope said it was a good day to stay home
but it always says that so she never really gone
her biorhythms read to watch her perspectives
but I knew her diet had very little objectives
and being so high I couldn’t understand her low
and why wouldn’t she just get up and go
she whined about the rain and her umbrella broke
I mutterd "he he" ‘cause I thought it was a joke
I asked her if she’d like to go and eat
it sounded like an idea to get her on her feet
she said check the coolerator
but I said (kiss on cheek) I’ll see you later

I certainly can't understand a person with those sentiments.  Not at all.

Excellent narration, Dale.

Well, if it isn't the other half of one of our beloved missing members. It certainly is good to see you back.

I enjoyed this as I have a lot of your poems in the past. They tell a good story and you seem to weave your thoughts well into it all. loved it!

Loved this, and isn't it great we can talk to people like this, and whistle as we walk away, knowing we are all different, and that is okay too?

I liked the way you played off her weaknesses.
Well conceived and I enjoyed it

(big hugggsssss) This is so very saddening, sweet friend, it hurts me to feel her pain in these words and I pray that soon she will have the strength to stand up and embrace the world again with a smile and with him both accept each others differences always! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dale, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
